10 Minute Trainer Reviews: Day 31, Crazy Weekend

This weekend turned out to be way busier than I had planned. Some personal things came up that I had to deal with, so I was exhausted physically and emotionally that I just didn’t push myself to work-out. If anyone is reading this religious I apologize for not posting…I usually am really good about keeping up with this, so I just slipped out. Well I have a feeling this is going to be a long week. I am pretty jam packed with obligations between my sorority and my classes, which all happen to have big projects due this week.

Today, when things calmed down, I got right back into it and did Cardio, Lower Abs, and Yoga. I can’t believe I am at Week Six now!  At this point a lot of the excersizes have become rather easy, mostly in lower Abs, but still I get a workout. As this workout gets more repetitive, and I feel less challenged, it is definitely not like those first few workouts where I was totally wiped after it. As far as my eating has been, I have kept to eat healthy, with rarely eating junk food. I think the nutritional component is a very big of how much results you see. I know weeks where I eat better and healthier, I see better results. So even when these 90 days are over, I know that is one thing I will keep up for sure.

10 Minute Trainer Reviews: Day 28, Relaxed.

TGIF. So when I made my schedule I intended for my no class on Fridays to be used for getting extra work done, so far that really hasn’t happened, but it has made for a great day of relaxtion after my non-stop busy week. Today was especially nice because I had absolutely no plans or committment and technically I could have layed in bed if I wanted. Instead I got up, actually studied for a mid term a little bit… did my 10 minute workout (Total Body, Abs, and Lower Body) and did some errands. And for the first time this year I decided to stay in tonight, which was even more relaxing. For the first time I had the apartment to myself and was able to watch a movie and go to bed early in peace. So it may have not been the most exciting day, but it definitely a much needed day. Tomorrow morning I have to get up and volunteer at the zoo, which should be really cool, I am looking forward to it.

10 Minute Trainer Review: Day 27, Long Day

Today was a long day of class. After class I had to go do a shoot for photography, which I actually didn’t mind because I had to take pictures outside, and it ended up being a beautiful day here in Philadelphia. Unfortunately when I got to the spot where I wanted to shoot at my camera ran out of battery and memory card was full after three pictures…so I’ll have to go back tomorrow and hope the sun is just as good. The place where I wanted to take picutures was a long the river, so I walked on the bike path which was beautiful, and it made me wanna get my act together and get back into running everyday. I know I mentioned it earlier how I wanted to get back in that routine, but in order to that I would have to wake up earlier and start my days earlier, and that is just isn’t easy for me.

Today was the second day of trying out the new cardio workout. I still like it, but there a few excersises that are so weird to me, and I feel funny doing it…like I must look 10 times as weird as the girl doing it in the video does. Like the Bella Twist, I know it has to be working something, but I don’t feel it. There was another one where you have to like…wiggle, which will take some getting used to. In addition to the cardio, I did Total Body, and Lower Body, and as always those feel good to do. Tomorrow is Wednesday, and that means I am already half way done with my week :-) !

10 Minute Trainer Review: Day 26, Moving Up

I can’t believe I’m a third of the way done with this work out. While I’m still happy with my results, it makes me wanna step up, because I’m definitely a long way away from what I want to be. Being a college student I think my results will probably be different from someone with a more routine and normal schedule. Anyway, today I did the Core Cardio workout on the other 10 minute trainer DVD. I really liked this workout. Maybe it is because it was a nice change, and I was so sick of the other cardio, but I really did like the excersizes more. In the other cardio workout there were about four exercises that I hated. I kinda wish I had started out with this Core Cardio, but I think it was good to start off with an easier workout.

Today was again, another busy. Now that I am in my sorority, I have something to do everynight. Tonight we had a meeting, which was right after my night class. So far being busy has made me be even more productive cause I have less time to get everything done, I’m hoping it stays like this and doesn’t start to overwhelm me. Being 1/3 of the way done with this workout means that I am a month into school! It feels like I just got here. I’ll be done with this 90 day workout just as winter break comes, and my trimester will be over, so a lot of things will come to an end.

10 Minute Trainer Reviews: Day 25, Exhausted

My very very busy has caught up with me today, and I am beat. Today was a busy day as well. I got up early, met up with my friend and his mom who was visiting for breakfast in the city…walked around to take pictures for a photo assignment…did more work…did some errands…had a meeting. I did not have the time or motivation to work out today, so I gave myself a day off. Tomorrow I’ll start out with the new DVDs…new excersizes, I wonder what it will be like.

10 Minute Trainer Reviews: Day 24, NYC and Back

My very short stay in New York was a lot of fun. Because of traffic in Manhattan…I didn’t meet up with my family until 7:00, only an hour and a half behind schedule. But as soon as I got there, my parents and my brother walked a couple blocks to a nearby restaurant and got dinner. We found a really nice Thai restaurant that was just totally my family’s speed, and I ordered red snapper, which was amazing. It was definitely the best meal I have had in a while…I think thats always the case though when its your parents that are footing the bill. Then we walked about 15 block uptown to a movie theater and all saw a movie together…I can’t remember the last time the four of us had gone to dinner and a movie together. It was a really good time though. We got back to the hotel late, and went right to bed. We all had to travel about three hours to get there, even though we were coming from difference places, so we were all tired. Then today we woke up, met up with my aunt and two cousins further uptown and had another amazing meal…we went to a really cute Belgium cafe…a hole in the wall, and for the first hour we were there, we were the only ones there so we could really enjoy ourselves, and be loud, and not have to worry about who we were bothering. I left to come back to Philly after we had brunch…I didn’t want to get back to late and feel really thrown off. So once I got back here, I relaxed, did some work, and did the 10 Minute Work Out…of course. Today I did Total Body, Abs and Cardio. It was definitely necessary after all those good meals out.

When I looked at the schedule I saw that in a couple days, the start of week 5, I switch DVDs…I’m excited but also not looking forward to it at the same time. I can’t wait for a change in the routine, something a little more challenging, but I’m hoping its not too bad that it makes working out even less appealing. Oh well, only one day left of the workout I have become so familiar with!

10 Minute Trainer Reviews: Day 23, In a Rush

AH so today I am rushing to get a lot of stuff done before I catch my bus for New York. I only made time to do Total Body today. I don’t know if that was the best idea, my back feels like I pulled a muscle or something. I probably didn’t but it just feels like it needs to be massaged. Maybe its from stress…I don’t think its from the workout. Anyway, I finally got my week four pictures done. So far I have been happy with my progress. My roommates said the other day I was looking good, as in they saw a difference…so I’m happy with that!

10 Minute Trainer Reviews: Day 23

I was antsy the whole day today, and I have no clue why. I woke up, and my one three hour class was cancelled, so that freed up a whole lot of my day, not only that but that meant that was one less class that would assign homework for this weekend, which is so good because tomorrow I am going to New York City for the night, to see my family. I’m leaving tomorrow afternoon and then getting back Saturday afternoon so I’ll be able to squeeze in workouts both days. Not only that, but when I go to the city with my family, we walk absolutely everywhere, so that trip itself will be a workout.

Today I woke up, had my breakfast of a granny smith apple, and some oatmeal. That has been my breakfast almost everyday this week…I find myself not eating what I want, but eating whatever is about to go bad in my fridge. So basically salad has been my lunch everyday as well. For dinner, I made black beans and vegetables and that was very filling. Today I did Abs and Total Body. I cut it close working out before class, so I only did it 20 minutes, and to be honest, I am so sick of cardio. Occasionally I will be in the mood for a good cardio workout, but thats rare…and that wasn’t today.

10 Minute Trainer Reviews: Day 22, Late Night

So the good news is I did find time to do my 10 minute trainer work out today, the bad news is that it was late at night, which probably isn’t the best thing to do. Anyway, today was very hectic and busy, but thats something I’m getting used to, and it hasn’t gotten to me yet.

I have my first midterm tomorrow…but I think I am well prepared. I didn’t want to work out until I felt I had everything covered, so thats why I waited. Also, I think taking a break to work out  while studying definitely wakes you up and makes your more alert and ready to study even more.

Today was Total Body, Lower Body, and I did Abs instead of cardio, because I am so sick of cardio. It felt good to do Total Body, it felt like it had been a while since I had to do that. Well tomorrow I should be able to workout at more reasonable time…but sometimes you just have to fit it in when you can. I promise my week 4 pictures will be up soon. I have to have my roomates take my pic, and they are not always around when im ready.

10 Minute Trainer Reviews: Day 21, Time to get work done

As usual I saved a lot of my work to do today, because I had it off. I work fairly early this morning, and after my breakfast of oatmeal and an apple, I walked into Center City to take pictures for a photography assignment. I didn’t really have a plan or a route mapped out, so I just kept walking as long as there were interesting things to take pictures of. I was out for about two hours, and I covered a lot of the city, and it was starting to get hot while I was outside, so it felt like a mini work out to start my day off. Then I got back, and relaxed a little bit. Made myself a nice big salad with all of my fresh vegetables, and started on some more work. It seems like I can’t work more than 2 or 3 hours without taking a break, no matter what I am doing and how much I am enjoying it. So my today my day basically consisted of working and breaks…finally by 7 I was done with all my work due for tomorrow and did my work out.

Today it was my favorite combination again, Cardio, Lower Body, Abs. Today was a little difficult because I was tired and lazy all day, so getting the motivation to even start it was hard, and then staying focused and putting a lot of effort into was hard to. I still think working out in the morning is better for me, in terms of having the energy, but it seems like with my schedule its always easy to work out at night. Today the first day where with out even thinking, or having to look at the screen I knew what move would be next. I think thats a good sign. For some reason lower body was more difficult for me today. The three way jockey thing burned more than usual and I wanted to stop…but I didn’t, so thats good! Well my night is not over,  even though classes were cancelled today, I still have a meeting to go to.
