My very short stay in New York was a lot of fun. Because of traffic in Manhattan…I didn’t meet up with my family until 7:00, only an hour and a half behind schedule. But as soon as I got there, my parents and my brother walked a couple blocks to a nearby restaurant and got dinner. We found a really nice Thai restaurant that was just totally my family’s speed, and I ordered red snapper, which was amazing. It was definitely the best meal I have had in a while…I think thats always the case though when its your parents that are footing the bill. Then we walked about 15 block uptown to a movie theater and all saw a movie together…I can’t remember the last time the four of us had gone to dinner and a movie together. It was a really good time though. We got back to the hotel late, and went right to bed. We all had to travel about three hours to get there, even though we were coming from difference places, so we were all tired. Then today we woke up, met up with my aunt and two cousins further uptown and had another amazing meal…we went to a really cute Belgium cafe…a hole in the wall, and for the first hour we were there, we were the only ones there so we could really enjoy ourselves, and be loud, and not have to worry about who we were bothering. I left to come back to Philly after we had brunch…I didn’t want to get back to late and feel really thrown off. So once I got back here, I relaxed, did some work, and did the 10 Minute Work Out…of course. Today I did Total Body, Abs and Cardio. It was definitely necessary after all those good meals out.
When I looked at the schedule I saw that in a couple days, the start of week 5, I switch DVDs…I’m excited but also not looking forward to it at the same time. I can’t wait for a change in the routine, something a little more challenging, but I’m hoping its not too bad that it makes working out even less appealing. Oh well, only one day left of the workout I have become so familiar with!
