Today I got up after my alarm clock went off only one time! It was quite an accomplishment for me. Still half asleep I made my routine breakfast of oatmeal and a granny smith apple. I feel like I cannot function until I have eaten breakfast. Before it used to be I could not function until I had a cup of coffee. For the longest time I would never eat breakfast, which my parents knew, and kept telling me how important it was. I don’t know why I never wanted to eat it, until one day mom started making me breakfast (and by breakfast I mean a toasted bagel or toast) and brought it into my room, so I was able to eat as I rushed to get ready for school. If it wasn’t for her practically making me get into the habit of eating breakfast, I think I would still be skipping it, and making up for it later in the day. Now that I am so dependant on it I have no idea how I used to get by skipping breakfast.

I watched tv as I ate my oatmeal and could barely keep my eyes open. I thought about crawling right back in bed and getting another couple hours of sleep, but I fought it off and was able to get some productive hours of work in and I did my work out all before my classes today. Today I did Yoga, Abs, and Lower Body. It felt so good to do yoga today, my body has been so tense sitting in front of the computer for hours, or leaning over doing my design homework for hours, I wish I could take an hour long class soon, it is definitely what I need right now with the crazy amount of work and stress that come before finals.

My term is coming to and end I don’t even have enough time to get all my work done. If i can’t do a full work out I do try to just one 10 minute workout. Today I just had enough time for the Abs workout. Abs is my favorite workout to do if I am in a rush becuase I don’t really break a sweat, but I do feel tight and feel like I’ve worked something.

Today is Saturday and I stayed in last night to get a lot of work done…then I woke up this morning and did work for the whole day except to take a break to go to the art store and grocery store. The weather has been gross so it is even less appealing to go outside. I’m definitely in need of Thanksgiving break! even though it wont be a break from the work load…

I went to go vote around three, thinking I would avoid the rush of people going before or after work…maybe I did, but I still had to wait an hour and half to vote. It was definitely worth it though. Now Philly has another to go wild about. While watching the results my roommates and I baked cakes to give us something to do while we waited in anticipation.

I was done for the day at three, and didn’t have that much homework, so I defintiey relaxed and had downtime. For my workout I did lower body, Total Body, and Cardio. I must admit with this weekend being Halloween, and well, also being a weekend, my healthy eating went downhill for a couple days, but again I am getting back on track. I felt that I had been eating so healthy for so long that I was due for a nice “treat” and ordered fries with a sandwich one day, and went out to breakfast another morning. So I got off track, but I know I’ll get back on. Eating healthier is easier for me than making myself do the 10 minute trainer everyday.

Today was such a gloomy day. I had to do a photoshoot for photography but I hated walking around the city when it was aboslutely gray out. My class at one was about 10 minute long which was so nice, so I was really productive with my day. Then I had a night class which suprisingly hasn’t been that bad or as painful as I had planned on it being. After my night class I had a meeting to go to, then I finally came back to finish some work and do my work out. I started out doing my workouts in the morning, but now it has turned into a night time thing, I would prefer to do it in the mornings but it just always seems to work out this way.

Today I did abs, Cardio, and Lower Body again…and I also did a lot of walking around the city today to add to my excersize. The same combination wasn’t too repetitive for me, so I didn’t mind. Tomorrow is election day! I will most definitely get out to vote for my first presidential election

Sorry I have been M.I.A…I haven’t stopped the workout, I just have been extremely busy. I know I say that in almost every post but this week especially I barely had time to shower and eat, let alone squeeze in a workout. On top my extremely crammed schedule there was a mess of things unplanned that distracted me and took me away from the workout. I was not planning on being swept up by my friends and convinced to run outside on the streets of Philadelphia into crazy riots when the Phillies won the world series. It was completely spontaneous, and probably not the smartest move to blow off my homework I was working on to run outside in the cold night, to be in packed crowds surrounded by people climbing traffic lights and lighting off fireworks. The streets of Philadelphia after the Phillies won was epic, and I probalby wont have an experience like that ever again. Unfortunately the next morning I started feeling sick…achey and starting to feel a cold come on, so that definitely set me back, and I had to prepare myself for a crazy weekend….Halloween at college is definitely more intense then back at home.

But now thats over…im back! I know I’ve said that too before, but obviously my priorities at school come before my 10 minute trainer work out, and I think everyone encounters this problem of being too busy when it comes to their workout plans. So today to get back in the game I did cardio, abs, and lower body. I think the almost week break I had definitely set me back, and was more of a challenge. Abs was required more of an effort than usual, but as always cardio worked me pretty good.

This weekend turned out to be way busier than I had planned. Some personal things came up that I had to deal with, so I was exhausted physically and emotionally that I just didn’t push myself to work-out. If anyone is reading this religious I apologize for not posting…I usually am really good about keeping up with this, so I just slipped out. Well I have a feeling this is going to be a long week. I am pretty jam packed with obligations between my sorority and my classes, which all happen to have big projects due this week.

Today, when things calmed down, I got right back into it and did Cardio, Lower Abs, and Yoga. I can’t believe I am at Week Six now! At this point a lot of the excersizes have become rather easy, mostly in lower Abs, but still I get a workout. As this workout gets more repetitive, and I feel less challenged, it is definitely not like those first few workouts where I was totally wiped after it. As far as my eating has been, I have kept to eat healthy, with rarely eating junk food. I think the nutritional component is a very big of how much results you see. I know weeks where I eat better and healthier, I see better results. So even when these 90 days are over, I know that is one thing I will keep up for sure.

So when I made my schedule I intended for my no class on Fridays to be used for getting extra work done, so far that really hasn’t happened, but it has made for a great day of relaxtion after my non-stop busy week. Today was especially nice because I had absolutely no plans or committment and technically I could have layed in bed if I wanted. Instead I got up, actually studied for a mid term a little bit… did my 10 minute workout (Total Body, Abs, and Lower Body) and did some errands. And for the first time this year I decided to stay in tonight, which was even more relaxing. For the first time I had the apartment to myself and was able to watch a movie and go to bed early in peace. So it may have not been the most exciting day, but it definitely a much needed day. Tomorrow morning I have to get up and volunteer at the zoo, which should be really cool, I am looking forward to it.

The place where I wanted to take picutures was a long the river, so I walked on the bike path which was beautiful, and it made me wanna get my act together and get back into running everyday. I know I mentioned it earlier how I wanted to get back in that routine, but in order to that I would have to wake up earlier and start my days earlier, and that is just isn’t easy for me.

Today was the second day of trying out the new cardio workout. I still like it, but there a few excersises that are so weird to me, and I feel funny doing it…like I must look 10 times as weird as the girl doing it in the video does. Like the Bella Twist, I know it has to be working something, but I don’t feel it. There was another one where you have to like…wiggle, which will take some getting used to. In addition to the cardio, I did Total Body, and Lower Body, and as always those feel good to do. Tomorrow is Wednesday, and that means I am already half way done with my week !

While I’m still happy with my results, it makes me wanna step up, because I’m definitely a long way away from what I want to be. Being a college student I think my results will probably be different from someone with a more routine and normal schedule. Anyway, today I did the Core Cardio workout on the other 10 minute trainer DVD. I really liked this workout. Maybe it is because it was a nice change, and I was so sick of the other cardio, but I really did like the excersizes more. In the other cardio workout there were about four exercises that I hated. I kinda wish I had started out with this Core Cardio, but I think it was good to start off with an easier workout.

Today was again, another busy. Now that I am in my sorority, I have something to do everynight. Tonight we had a meeting, which was right after my night class. So far being busy has made me be even more productive cause I have less time to get everything done, I’m hoping it stays like this and doesn’t start to overwhelm me. Being 1/3 of the way done with this workout means that I am a month into school! It feels like I just got here. I’ll be done with this 90 day workout just as winter break comes, and my trimester will be over, so a lot of things will come to an end.

My very short stay in New York was a lot of fun. Because of traffic in Manhattan…I didn’t meet up with my family until 7:00, only an hour and a half behind schedule. But as soon as I got there, my parents and my brother walked a couple blocks to a nearby restaurant and got dinner. We found a really nice Thai restaurant that was just totally my family’s speed, and I ordered red snapper, which was amazing. It was definitely the best meal I have had in a while…I think thats always the case though when its your parents that are footing the bill. Then we walked about 15 block uptown to a movie theater and all saw a movie together…I can’t remember the last time the four of us had gone to dinner and a movie together. It was a really good time though. We got back to the hotel late, and went right to bed. We all had to travel about three hours to get there, even though we were coming from difference places, so we were all tired. Then today we woke up, met up with my aunt and two cousins further uptown and had another amazing meal…we went to a really cute Belgium cafe…a hole in the wall, and for the first hour we were there, we were the only ones there so we could really enjoy ourselves, and be loud, and not have to worry about who we were bothering. I left to come back to Philly after we had brunch…I didn’t want to get back to late and feel really thrown off. So once I got back here, I relaxed, did some work, and did the 10 Minute Work Out…of course. Today I did Total Body, Abs and Cardio. It was definitely necessary after all those good meals out.

When I looked at the schedule I saw that in a couple days, the start of week 5, I switch DVDs…I’m excited but also not looking forward to it at the same time. I can’t wait for a change in the routine, something a little more challenging, but I’m hoping its not too bad that it makes working out even less appealing. Oh well, only one day left of the workout I have become so familiar with!
