AH so today I am rushing to get a lot of stuff done before I catch my bus for New York. I only made time to do Total Body today. I don’t know if that was the best idea, my back feels like I pulled a muscle or something. I probably didn’t but it just feels like it needs to be massaged. Maybe its from stress…I don’t think its from the workout. Anyway, I finally got my week four pictures done. So far I have been happy with my progress. My roommates said the other day I was looking good, as in they saw a difference…so I’m happy with that!

So the good news is I did find time to do my 10 minute trainer work out today, the bad news is that it was late at night, which probably isn’t the best thing to do. Anyway, today was very hectic and busy, but thats something I’m getting used to, and it hasn’t gotten to me yet.
I have my first midterm tomorrow…but I think I am well prepared. I didn’t want to work out until I felt I had everything covered, so thats why I waited. Also, I think taking a break to work out while studying definitely wakes you up and makes your more alert and ready to study even more.
Today was Total Body, Lower Body, and I did Abs instead of cardio, because I am so sick of cardio. It felt good to do Total Body, it felt like it had been a while since I had to do that. Well tomorrow I should be able to workout at more reasonable time…but sometimes you just have to fit it in when you can. I promise my week 4 pictures will be up soon. I have to have my roomates take my pic, and they are not always around when im ready.
As usual I saved a lot of my work to do today, because I had it off. I work fairly early this morning, and after my breakfast of oatmeal and an apple, I walked into Center City to take pictures for a photography assignment. I didn’t really have a plan or a route mapped out, so I just kept walking as long as there were interesting things to take pictures of. I was out for about two hours, and I covered a lot of the city, and it was starting to get hot while I was outside, so it felt like a mini work out to start my day off. Then I got back, and relaxed a little bit. Made myself a nice big salad with all of my fresh vegetables, and started on some more work. It seems like I can’t work more than 2 or 3 hours without taking a break, no matter what I am doing and how much I am enjoying it. So my today my day basically consisted of working and breaks…finally by 7 I was done with all my work due for tomorrow and did my work out.
Today it was my favorite combination again, Cardio, Lower Body, Abs. Today was a little difficult because I was tired and lazy all day, so getting the motivation to even start it was hard, and then staying focused and putting a lot of effort into was hard to. I still think working out in the morning is better for me, in terms of having the energy, but it seems like with my schedule its always easy to work out at night. Today the first day where with out even thinking, or having to look at the screen I knew what move would be next. I think thats a good sign. For some reason lower body was more difficult for me today. The three way jockey thing burned more than usual and I wanted to stop…but I didn’t, so thats good! Well my night is not over, even though classes were cancelled today, I still have a meeting to go to.
Today I got a late start…I woke up pretty early, but after I ate breakfast I fell right back to sleep and slept for another three hours. I know, I don’t think you can get any lazier than that. Usually I don’t let myself waste so much of the day like that, but then I had to keep reminding myself that I have tomorrow off
Such a treat, because that means I only have a three day week of classes. Tomorrow is also the start of my fourth week. That seems like so long to me! But then when I say 21 days, it doesn’t seem as long. I would say so far I am happy with my results. In general I just feel better. Even if at the end of this I don’t have a sick pack or look drastically different, I will still be happy to be living a healthier lifestyle, and have better habits.
So finally when I snapped out of my lethargic mood today I got a chunk of work done. My homework for one my design classes is mostly about developing good craftmanship, so I find the work for it to be relaxing acutally. Being a sophomore my classes are now all related to graphic design, so even though I have a heavier work load, I love what I’m doing. After working for a bit, I went to the grocery store with my roomate. The weather here is so nice, and we went around sunset, so what is usually an annoying walk to the grocery store was really enjoyable. It had been a while since I went grocery shopping, and I had to competely restock my fridge with vegetables, so it was large…and expensive shopping trip. But it should last me a while…it should at least!
Then when I got back, I worked out. Started out with Lower Body, and Cardio, and finished with Abs. I always think that lower body is going to feel like yoga, like I’ll feel it in my muscles, but I wont break a sweat, but then a couple minutes in I’m already sweating. I really liked this combination today…by day 20, I am definitely developing favorites when it comes to the different combinations of 10 minute trainer work outs.
Finally, I am back to normal. This whole week has been busy, but I love it. I completely prefer being busy and keeping a tight schedule rather than being lazy and having so much free time. Today in between class and getting some errands done, I did my Abs work out. I know that whenever do Abs, I’ll definitely feel it work, but I always forget that how much of a sweat it is. I never have a problem making time for the 10-30 minute work out, but for the shower after and the getting ready time to follow is what I have a hard time making time for. So today, I broke up the 3 work outs, and did them through out the day. I don’t know why I didn’t think to do that earlier. When I got back from my errands (which consisteted of 3 hours of walking around the city…and doing some shopping
I did cardio, and lower body. For dinner, I made a delicious pizza, it such an easy and cheap thing to make, that will feed me and all my roomates, and since I’m making it myself, I can keep it healthier.
So my weekend officially started at 12:30 today, and so far it has been very productive! I am spoiled and get a four day weekend, so it won’t be hard to fit all my work outs in this weekend. Also, I hope it is nice so I can go on a run along the river, in addition to the 10 minute workouts.
Good news: I am feeling a lot better today! Not completely back to normal…my nose is still really stuffy so it makes breathing out of my nose impossible. Today was such a busy day too, I was non-stop busy from the moment I woke up, until now. Today was a long day of classes, and I am joining a sorority this term, so that added to my crazy schedule, with having to attend a lot of events. I actually prefer being busy, than having a lot of time on my hands. Although I may be stressed while trying to get everything done, everything does eventually get done.
So today I didn’t want to over do it, seeing how it has been a couple days since I’ve done a full 10 minute trainer workout, (Which I’m really disapointed about, I really was starting to feel like I was having positivie results, and now… a set back) so I eased myself back into the routine with 10 minutes of Abs. Tomorrow I’ll probably add another workout, I’ll have to check out the schedule. But I can’t wait to be healthy! I’m already half way done with my week-another reason why I love having a four day “work” week.
Today I made sure to get up early to do my 10 minute trainer workout. My best friends from home are all coming to visit, and I knew if I didn’t work out before they got here, it wouldn’t happen. Today was Cardio, Lower Body, Yoga, and then I added some Abs. I didn’t do all the moves in the abs, just my favorites, haha. For the most part cardio is pretty routine, I still get a good work out from it, and break a sweat, but its becoming easier. For those of you doing it too, is it just me or do you really dread hop, squat and run home? I wish it was in the beggining instead of the end, just to get it over with. I really don’t have any complaints with lower body. I like that its slower pace, its a nice follow up to the cardio. And as much as I love stretching, sometimes I find myself getting antsy when I know my workout is ending with yoga, because it is so relaxing, and I’m usually in a rush to shower or get to somewhere I have to be.
So tomorrow I will give myself a day off. I am so excited for my friends to come, and to take them out here in the city. Obviously we love to eat and drink together, so I am going have to be very careful and stick to the plan as best I can. I haven’t seen them in a couple months, maybe they’ll notice any changes!
What a long week. Mon-Thurs. is non stop working. Friday I have no class, so it works out, but by Thursday afternoon, I am exhausted. Today after class I was not feeling well. I thought after taking a nap I would feel better but that wasnt the case. I did push myself to work out. I started with the Abs workout, that was on the schedule for the day, and when it was time for cardio I did not have the motivation at all. I would have taken this as a my day off, but I am having some friends come visit me this weekend, and I know one of those days I will definitely need and want to take a day off. I dont think it was too bad, today being my first day that I was not able to do all 30 minutes of excersize.
I enjoyed today’s workout, doing Yoga, Lower Body and Total Body. I think Total Body is becoming my favorite. I think its because I really feel it working my arms, and that is definitely an area that I ignore, but also am concious of. Also, I have made progress! Raising the bands above my head I was not able to do at first, but today I was able to, no problem. Yoga was nice and relaxing as always, though today my shoulder started to bother me when I was doing the right angle stretch.
In addition to these workouts I really wanna start running on my own. There is a great bike path along the river, two minutes from where I live, and it is always so nice to run on, but unfortunately I have not found the time to dedicate to that. I know if I used my time more wisely I could probably fit it in at least 4 times a week, but it something I’ll have to work on.
Today was a very productive day, being Sunday I didn’t really have a choice but to get my homework done. I slept in, but I didn’t waste any time getting my homework out of the way. After i finished my roommates and I took a walk to the grocery store and bought stuff to make a decent Mexican dinner. We’re trying to eat together on Sundays, so far we have kept it up but I am sure as school picks up it will become harder to do. After our little adventure I did some more work, then started the work out. Cardio is continuing to grow on me, and then it was followed by Yoga and Total body, which are becoming my favorites. I struggle with the moves in Total Body that make you raise the bands over your head, but today I think I improved.
Tomorrow it will be Week 2, and so far it has not been hard to fit these work outs into my routine, I really like making it part of my day, and always feel good afterward.
