I went to go vote around three, thinking I would avoid the rush of people going before or after work…maybe I did, but I still had to wait an hour and half to vote. It was definitely worth it though. Now Philly has another to go wild about. While watching the results my roommates and I baked cakes to give us something to do while we waited in anticipation.

I was done for the day at three, and didn’t have that much homework, so I defintiey relaxed and had downtime. For my workout I did lower body, Total Body, and Cardio. I must admit with this weekend being Halloween, and well, also being a weekend, my healthy eating went downhill for a couple days, but again I am getting back on track. I felt that I had been eating so healthy for so long that I was due for a nice “treat” and ordered fries with a sandwich one day, and went out to breakfast another morning. So I got off track, but I know I’ll get back on. Eating healthier is easier for me than making myself do the <a

I had to do a photoshoot for photography but I hated walking around the city when it was aboslutely gray out. My class at one was about 10 minute long which was so nice, so I was really productive with my day. Then I had a night class which suprisingly hasn’t been that bad or as painful as I had planned on it being. After my night class I had a meeting to go to, then I finally came back to finish some work and do my work out. I started out doing my workouts in the morning, but now it has turned into a night time thing, I would prefer to do it in the mornings but it just always seems to work out this way.

Today I did abs, Cardio, and Lower Body again…and I also did a lot of walking around the city today to add to my excersize. The same combination wasn’t too repetitive for me, so I didn’t mind. Tomorrow is election day! I will most definitely get out to vote for my first presidential election <img

Some personal things came up that I had to deal with, so I was exhausted physically and emotionally that I just didn’t push myself to work-out. If anyone is reading this religious I apologize for not posting…I usually am really good about keeping up with this, so I just slipped out. Well I have a feeling this is going to be a long week. I am pretty jam packed with obligations between my sorority and my classes, which all happen to have big projects due this week.

Today, when things calmed down, I got right back into it and did Cardio, Lower Abs, and Yoga. I can’t believe I am at Week Six now! At this point a lot of the excersizes have become rather easy, mostly in lower Abs, but still I get a workout. As this workout gets more repetitive, and I feel less challenged, it is definitely not like those first few workouts where I was totally wiped after it. As far as my eating has been, I have kept to eat healthy, with rarely eating junk food. I think the nutritional component is a very big of how much results you see. I know weeks where I eat better and healthier, I see better results. So even when these 90 days are over, I know that is one thing I will keep up for sure.

10 Minute Trainer Reviews: Day 24, NYC and Back

10 Minute Trainer

Abs

cardio

Total Body
<guid

Because of traffic in Manhattan…I didn’t meet up with my family until 7:00, only an hour and a half behind schedule. But as soon as I got there, my parents and my brother walked a couple blocks to a nearby restaurant and got dinner. We found a really nice Thai restaurant that was just totally my family’s speed, and I ordered red snapper, which was amazing. It was definitely the best meal I have had in a while…I think thats always the case though when its your parents that are footing the bill. Then we walked about 15 block uptown to a movie theater and all saw a movie together…I can’t remember the last time the four of us had gone to dinner and a movie together. It was a really good time though. We got back to the hotel late, and went right to bed. We all had to travel about three hours to get there, even though we were coming from difference places, so we were all tired. Then today we woke up, met up with my aunt and two cousins further uptown and had another amazing meal…we went to a really cute Belgium cafe…a hole in the wall, and for the first hour we were there, we were the only ones there so we could really enjoy ourselves, and be loud, and not have to worry about who we were bothering. I left to come back to Philly after we had brunch…I didn’t want to get back to late and feel really thrown off. So once I got back here, I relaxed, did some work, and did the 10 Minute Work Out…of course. Today I did Total Body, Abs and Cardio. It was definitely necessary after all those good meals out.

When I looked at the schedule I saw that in a couple days, the start of week 5, I switch DVDs…I’m excited but also not looking forward to it at the same time. I can’t wait for a change in the routine, something a little more challenging, but I’m hoping its not too bad that it makes working out even less appealing. Oh well, only one day left of the workout I have become so familiar with!

10 Minute Trainer Reviews: Day 20, Lazy Sunday

10 Minute Trainer

Abs

cardio

lower body
<guid

I know, I don’t think you can get any lazier than that. Usually I don’t let myself waste so much of the day like that, but then I had to keep reminding myself that I have tomorrow off Such a treat, because that means I only have a three day week of classes. Tomorrow is also the start of my fourth week. That seems like so long to me! But then when I say 21 days, it doesn’t seem as long. I would say so far I am happy with my results. In general I just feel better. Even if at the end of this I don’t have a sick pack or look drastically different, I will still be happy to be living a healthier lifestyle, and have better habits.

So finally when I snapped out of my lethargic mood today I got a chunk of work done. My homework for one my design classes is mostly about developing good craftmanship, so I find the work for it to be relaxing acutally. Being a sophomore my classes are now all related to graphic design, so even though I have a heavier work load, I love what I’m doing. After working for a bit, I went to the grocery store with my roomate. The weather here is so nice, and we went around sunset, so what is usually an annoying walk to the grocery store was really enjoyable. It had been a while since I went grocery shopping, and I had to competely restock my fridge with vegetables, so it was large…and expensive shopping trip. But it should last me a while…it should at least!

Then when I got back, I worked out. Started out with Lower Body, and Cardio, and finished with Abs. I always think that lower body is going to feel like yoga, like I’ll feel it in my muscles, but I wont break a sweat, but then a couple minutes in I’m already sweating. I really liked this combination today…by day 20, I am definitely developing favorites when it comes to the different combinations of <a

I completely prefer being busy and keeping a tight schedule rather than being lazy and having so much free time. Today in between class and getting some errands done, I did my Abs work out. I know that whenever do Abs, I’ll definitely feel it work, but I always forget that how much of a sweat it is. I never have a problem making time for the 10-30 minute work out, but for the shower after and the getting ready time to follow is what I have a hard time making time for. So today, I broke up the 3 work outs, and did them through out the day. I don’t know why I didn’t think to do that earlier. When I got back from my errands (which consisteted of 3 hours of walking around the city…and doing some shopping I did cardio, and lower body. For dinner, I made a delicious pizza, it such an easy and cheap thing to make, that will feed me and all my roomates, and since I’m making it myself, I can keep it healthier.

So my weekend officially started at 12:30 today, and so far it has been very productive! I am spoiled and get a four day weekend, so it won’t be hard to fit all my work outs in this weekend. Also, I hope it is nice so I can go on a run along the river, in addition to the 10 minute workouts.

10 Minute Trainer Reviews: Day 17, Feeling Good

10 Minute Trainer

cardio

lower body

Ten Minute Trainer

Total Body
<guid

I got a good nights sleep last night, and I am feeling almost completely better. I definitely felt well enough to do all three workouts today. I started out with Lower Body, which is one my favorites to start with. Then I did Total Body, and finished with Cardio. It feels good to be getting back in to the swing. Today I didn’t eat so well because I had to throw out half my groceries that have went bad sitting in the fridge. I am still new at this buying groceries thing. I love being able to cook, because I am learning it requires more planning if I want to get the most out of what I buy. I only buy food that are found on those first two levels of the nutrition guide, but roomates are always bake and I am constantly surrounded by the temptation of cupcakes and brownies.

Tomorrow after class is done at 12:30, I am done for the week! But my weekend is looking to be very busy as well, so it is not so much of a break. I have a lot of errands to do in the city, which always ends up being like a workout for me. I love being able to walk everywhere, you could walk miles just shopping and not even realize it! Tomorrow I’ll have my Week 3 Pics up, I am not expecting to see much change because I feel like this past week was sort of on pause.

10 Minute Trainer Reviews: Day 12, TGIF

10 Minute Trainer

Abs

cardio

lower body

Yoga

10 minute trainer workout. My best friends from home are all coming to visit, and I knew if I didn’t work out before they got here, it wouldn’t happen. Today was Cardio, Lower Body, Yoga, and then I added some Abs. I didn’t do all the moves in the abs, just my favorites, haha. For the most part cardio is pretty routine, I still get a good work out from it, and break a sweat, but its becoming easier. For those of you doing it too, is it just me or do you really dread hop, squat and run home? I wish it was in the beggining instead of the end, just to get it over with. I really don’t have any complaints with lower body. I like that its slower pace, its a nice follow up to the cardio. And as much as I love stretching, sometimes I find myself getting antsy when I know my workout is ending with yoga, because it is so relaxing, and I’m usually in a rush to shower or get to somewhere I have to be.

So tomorrow I will give myself a day off. I am so excited for my friends to come, and to take them out here in the city. Obviously we love to eat and drink together, so I am going have to be very careful and stick to the plan as best I can. I haven’t seen them in a couple months, maybe they’ll notice any changes!

10 Minute Trainer Reviews: Day Ten, Hard to Get Started

10 Minute Trainer

Abs

cardio

Ten Minute Trainer

Total Body
<guid

Cleaning the kitchen this morning was more appealing than popping in the dvd and immediately jumping into 10 minutes of cardio. But like always, once I did get started, I was into it, and didn’t skimp on anything either. WIth these workouts, being on your own, its easy and tempting to take a break whenever you want, and a few seconds before its over. But I really want to see results so I am doing my best to make sure I get the most out of it. Tony does encourage breaks if needed though, which I do have to take sometimes, especially when it comes to push ups. I’m getting better but I’m still not able to them for 10 minutes straight. Today was also Total Body, and Abs.
